**Purpose of the Role**
- The Payroll Assistant, with support from our HR Advisor and Financial Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of the UK Payroll system for McLaren Applied.
- The Payroll Assistant will sit within the HR & Recruitment team and work closely with the Finance team.

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Process monthly payroll for approximately 250 employees.
- Be the first point of contact for any payroll related queries.
- Check reports from payroll with the support of our Financial Manager.
- Assist with entering any additional payments/information into our payroll system ADP.
- Chase HR for any missing/additional information as required.
- Process pension uploads each month onto our pension portal.
- Action monthly childcare vouchers on our ComputerShare portal.
- Directly liaising with ADP on processing P45’s, HMRC New Starter Checklists and SMP, SPP, SSP payments.
- Managing our salary sacrifice schemes.

**Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience**
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Comfortable liaising with payroll support functions.
- Excellent organisational skills - with the ability to proactively prioritise, multi-task and manage your own workload daily.
- Demonstrable payroll system experience. Experience with ADP would be beneficial.
- Computer literate with programmes such as word, excel and outlook.
- 2 years previous experience of payroll.
- Up-to-date understanding of HMRC regulations.
