The post is based in KI Bath. This is a fixed-term position running from May 22 to August 11. Hours will be variable, starting part-time for three weeks (minimum 15 hours) then full-time for the remaining period from June 12 to August 11.

The Activities Co-ordinator co-ordinates the running of our junior summer school leisure program, supervising a small team of Activity Leaders and overseeing the day-to-day running of the leisure program. The Activities Co-ordinator works alongside the Academic Manager to ensure all junior summer school students have the best Kaplan Experience through top quality customer service and by making the welfare and safeguarding of students a priority.

**Duties**
- To co-ordinate the leisure program of a junior summer school for students aged 12-17
- To assist the principal in the day-to-day management of a small team of Activity Leaders
- To have a lead role in drawing up a weekly rota of staffing of activities
- To confirm all existing bookings and transport arrangements for leisure activities
- To proactively adjust the leisure program as required, in response to feedback from students, group leaders, and staff
- To monitor and report on student attendance of leisure activities, issuing warnings and any other administrative processes that support the smooth running of the junior summer school leisure program
- To report any absences according to school procedures
- To take a lead role in ensuring that Activity Leaders are equipped to foster and support the extracurricular learning of the students, and to liaise with the Academic Manager on a daily basis in order to facilitate this
- To arrange for cover for absent Activity Leaders if required in order to ensure activities are staffed appropriately
- To liaise with the Student Services team, to help ensure that the welfare and safeguarding of students is appropriately managed at all times
- To provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers at all times
- To be helpful and courteous to students and their representatives

Compliance
- To have a good working knowledge and understanding of procedural documents and KIL policies relevant to the role
- To be familiar with all British Council inspection criteria relevant to the department
- To undertake required compliance training, including Safeguarding training, and to adhere to our Data Protection policies

General
- To be proactive about both your personal and professional development including attendance/completion of all compulsory training sessions and to actively participate in any training offered
- To undertake other duties as deemed necessary by line manager

- None

**Qualifications (Desirable)**
- Bachelor’s degree

**Experience (Desirable)**
- Experience in administration work (preferably in an ELT environment)
- Demonstrable familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience in working in a customer-facing environment
