AK Teaching is currently recruiting for multiple **Behaviour Support Worker **for an **SEMH** specialist school in **Durham**_**.**_

**The job**:

- Provide support to students with SEMH needs in a small group or 1-1 setting
- Help students meet the objectives in their education and health care plans
- To take direction and assist the class teacher
- Support students in managing and regulating their feelings
- Ensure the best quality of education for each pupil
- Help create and maintain a secure and happy atmosphere
- Engage with the students throughout their learning whilst in the classroom
- Model and nurture positive relationships and strong partnerships
- Liaising with SENCO and the designated safeguarding lead to promote positive outcomes.

**You**:

- Have experience of working with children/students with SEMH needs
- Are patient, sensitive and compassionate
- Are understanding and have empathy
- Have a passion for teaching and learning
- Ability to make learning enjoyable and fun
- Ideally Team Teach trained but not essential
- Are motivated and enthusiastic
- Have great communication skills
- Have a fun but firm presence.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Salary**: £85.00-£95.00 per day
