Are you a confident, resilient, and compassionate professional with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We're working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School that is seeking a 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a child with challenging behaviours in a mainstream classroom. The role is both rewarding and dynamic, offering the chance to make a real impact in a young learner’s life.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 support to a KS1/KS2 pupil with SEMH needs
* Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behaviour strategies
* Build trusting relationships to encourage emotional regulation and engagement with learning
* Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to deliver consistent, tailored support
About You:
* Confident and calm under pressure
* Previous experience with SEMH, EBD, or similar behavioural needs essential
* Strong communication skills and firm but empathetic approach
* Team player with a positive, proactive mindset
* Team Teach, MAPA or similar de-escalation training is highly desirable (or willingness to undertake training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
