If you’re motivated, curious, creative, and looking to take an exciting step in your career, we are looking for someone like you to join our team as a Visits and Events Officer at the Office of the Secretary of State for Wales

You will be joining a supportive and experienced team that encourages new ideas and has an excellent reputation for delivering quality results.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the delivery of visits and events across Wales and London, including by directly supporting with the events schedule for Ministers.
- Identify opportunities to engage through digital channels and optimise the reach of the Department.
- Collate Management Information on visits and events, analysing any relevant data and metrics to make recommendations and track outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other government departments (particularly their Wales based teams).
- Prepared to travel for Ministerial visits and to support colleagues with meetings with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the department’s out-of-hours service being on duty on a rotational basis (for which there is an allowance)

**Desirable Skills and Experience**
- Experience of working in a busy events or relationship management role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to respond to competing priorities.
- Excellent IT skills
- Digital content creation

**Essential Criteria**:

- Excellent oral and written communications skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to ‘connect’ issues and seek out opportunities to deliver quality outcomes
- Good digital skills with awareness of social media and its impacts.
- Demonstrate resilience and experience of delivering effectively in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Able to travel to various locations in Wales and to London
