A specialist manufacturer is recruiting an experienced Senior Buyer to work from their Coventry headquarters. You join the small purchasing team and take responsibility for a selection of suppliers to build strong supplier relationships and negotiate favourable terms.

**As the Senior Buyer you will support the Purchasing Manager**:

- Work with existing supply base across Europe and the Far East to ensure the best possible part/material and component supply.
- Build very strong relationships and where possible deliver more favourable commercial terms.
- Look at a range of new suppliers to increase the supply base.
- Manage the new component introduction from suppliers.
- Overall you will work to improve the purchasing function and ensure it is best in class to enable the production targets to be met on time in full.

**To be successful within the Senior Buyer role you will have**:

- Previous experience as a Senior buyer within a manufacturing business.
- New Product Introduction.
- Proven negotiation skills and to have an in-depth understanding of commercial terms.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Ideally you will have purchased a range of materials, components and castings and have worked as a buyer or senior buyer.
- Worked with a range of MRP/ERP systems.
