**Coventry**
**Our client is a large aerospace manufacturer, supplying components across the world for both civil and defence purposes. They are looking for a Senior Buyer, who will be responsible for complex supplier procurement activities for forging, casting, andlarge material commodities.**
**Senior Buyer**
- Manage large, complex supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness targets are achieved eradicating and/or escalating problems to minimise impact on the business
- Drive annual cost down and minimize supplier cost increases. Accountable for commodity Purchase Cost Variance (PCV) performance for designated commodities.
- Lead day to day activities in support of procurement of materials and services including obsolesce, engineering changes, part revisions, invoice issues, pricing discrepancies, expediting/ de
- expediting, cancellations, and the management of defective materials.
- Manage system and supply chain performance parameters
- Identify risk and proactively manage potential performance issues before they escalate

**Senior Buyer**
**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Background in purchasing in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of complex part manufacturing, specifically forging, casting or machined commodities
