**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and engage with children in a nursery or childcare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and playtime.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to provide updates on children's progress and address any concerns.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding less experienced staff or volunteers in childcare practices.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
- A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation if necessary.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and guide others within the childcare environment.
- A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young minds.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
