Now let us tell you about the role:
As a Credit Controller reporting to the Head of Transactional Services, your primary responsibility is to ensure the timely collection of cash while minimising bad debts. This role requires collaborative efforts, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service and meet targets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage a portfolio of customers, ensuring payments are made within agreed terms.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle a high volume of customer interactions via telephone.
- Maintain customer records to ensure timely receipt of invoices/statements.
- Update the accounts receivable system, Credit Hound, with all collection activities.
- Process card payments and issue electronic direct debit mandates.
- Provide copy invoices to customers on an ad-hoc basis.
- Build rapport with customers to enhance relationships.
- Handle statement reconciliations and create WIP statements for effective communication with customers.
- Escalate any concerning issues to the Credit Control Team Leader.
- Manage queries through our query management system.

Qualifications:

- Desirable: ICM Level 3

**Experience**:

- Essential: 2 years of credit control experience.
- Desirable: Customer service experience.

**Skills**:

- Essential: High-level written and oral communication, strong Microsoft Excel skills, conflict resolution, assertive telephone manner.

Knowledge:

- Essential: End-to-end credit control process.
- Desirable: SAGE, SAGE CRM, AMCS, Credit Hound.
