**Post Title**:Teaching Assistant L2 + Pupil and Young Person Supervisor
**Hours**:15.84 per week with an additional 6.25 hours
8-12 Monday to Friday
+ lunch cover per week 12-1.15
**Salary**:NJC03 FTE £20,812 (pro rata)
NJC02 £2,615

Team SJA is looking to recruit a passionate, hardworking Teaching Assistant that thrives on building great working relationships with pupils.

- Build rapport and good working relationships with children,
- Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy with a relevant qualification,
- Understanding and knowledge of barriers to a child’s progress, such as: speech and language knowledge, autism awareness, dyslexia knowledge, etc.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff and outside agencies.
- Have a minimum of NVQ Level 2, or equivalent experience within a school.
- Be able to work independently with individuals on a 1 to 1 basis or small groups of children on given tasks.
- Have experience of working with children with specific needs, particularly
- Be open to training to enable you to work with intervention groups
- Be willing to support children with personal care programmes.

In addition to the above Teaching Assistant hours, the contract will include 6.25 hours per week as a Pupil and Young Person Supervisor.
