Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team in a dual role as a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) and HLTA. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning and development in a supportive and inclusive school environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of teaching staff to provide support for pupils, including those with special educational needs, ensuring access to learning and promoting positive behaviour and engagement. As an HLTA, you will complement the work of teachers by planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes under an agreed system of supervision. You may also take responsibility for managing other teaching assistants and supporting curriculum development. General Information Teaching Assistant (Level 2): 20 hour 30 minutes per week Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA): 12 hours per week Salary TA Level 2: Grade 7, Points 8 – 11 (£27,088 – £29,062) Actual pro rata salary £12,909.82 – £13,850.61 HLTA Level 4: Grade 9, Points 16 -19 (£32,347 – £34,317) Actual pro rata salary £9,024.12 – £9,573.70 Key Responsibilities Support pupils’ learning and development, adapting activities to meet individual Assist with the implementation of Individual Education and Behaviour Deliver structured learning activities and monitor pupil Promote inclusion and positive behaviour in line with school As HLTA, plan and deliver lessons for whole classes when Provide accurate feedback and maintain records of pupil Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the Essential Requirements TA Level 2: NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) and experience working with children in a school setting. HLTA: HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience), excellent literacy and numeracy skills, and experience delivering learning activities. Strong understanding of child development and the national curriculum. Ability to use ICT effectively to support learning. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Why Join Us?
