We are excited to announce that we have a vacancy for a full time School

Operations Coordinator at our unique outdoor setting, Woodside Lodge.

We're looking for a passionate individual to work alongside the Headteacher and

Heads of Base in ensuring stability in school operations, enabling all staff to commit

to fulfilling their substantive duties in line with the Woodside Mission, Vision and

Values, as well as any other strategic improvement plans or initiatives implemented

by The Woodside Group.

enable us to nurture our students and provide them with the best education

experience once we’ve successfully engaged with them emotionally. Although this is

not a student facing role, we are looking for a practitioner who has an awareness of

the needs of our vulnerable students and who can work with our teams to ensure we

provide a safe and secure environment for all.

Essential Criteria:

- A proven track record in working with children on the autism spectrum in a

managerial position, or a genuine provable talent showing aptitude and

potential for challenge in a managerial position.
- Considerable experience in the fulfilment of logístical/operational tasks within

a team, demonstrating exceptional communication and organisational skills.
- A demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of

children, ensuring that all staff and volunteers share this commitment.
- Knowledge of multiple learning styles and the benefits of Learning Outside the

Classroom (LOtC).
- Experience of, and commitment to, Health and Safety best practice.

Desirable
- Degree level qualification.
- Qualifications linked to autism.
- Established links and relationships with LA in the county of setting.
- First Aid Trained.
- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) trained with experience in this

role.
- Health and Safety trained with experience of carrying out management in this

area.
- Knowledge of GDPR regulations (2018) and demonstrable understanding of

how this impacts in an educational setting

Key Responsibilities: (Break down and list all of the responsibilities applicable to

the role)
- Facilitate Health & Safety audits alongside H&S Team.
- Complete all actions contained within H&S Action Plans in a timely manner,

ensuring compliance at the earliest possible time.
- Liaise with H&S Administrator for utilisation of premises staff and external

contractors, dependent upon the work required.
- Responding to Safeguarding concerns, in line with process or following

instruction by the Headteacher/Heads of Base.

interview and ensure any necessary paperwork is completed in line with

process and policy.
- Liaise with School SLT to collate emerging needs in order to prepare

agendas and resources for staff meetings and INSET days, delivering where

appropriate and necessary.
- Ensuring the suitability and currency of risk assessments for the school sites.
- Contribute to performance management process for staff, through interaction

with matrices and feedback to staff and HoBs.
- Assist with appeals for transport, working alongside and communicating with

Headteacher, Heads of Base and Family Link Worker.
- Establish and manage relationships with community partners for work

experience opportunities, consistently working with Heads of Base and

students in organising and facilitating these placements.
- Form and maintain relationships with local further education providers,

working alongside students and Heads of Base to organise taster days and

visits, where necessary.
- Monitor Daily Behaviour Sheets across the school, prompting staff when

these are incomplete, whilst addressing any development needs as a result

of findings.
- Lead on trip arrangements, including liaising with venue and members of

Woodside staff to organise suitable staffing ratios, transport arrangements

and risk assessments.
- Support, as necessary and as instructed by Headteacher/Heads of Base, with

the transitions of students in and out of the school.
- Facilitate, through liaising with Heads of Base and Transitions Lead, taster

days for prospective students, offering feedback, as required, to Heads of

Base/Headteacher.
- Prepare EHCP Dissection template for completion by Heads of Base, by

ensuring currency of EHCP, selecting pertinent information and handing over

to Heads of Base, ensuring timely completion of this document.
- Assist in the collation of information for reports, presenting
