**Job Summary**:
As the Head Waiter at Vermilion, you will lead and inspire a team of servers to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You’ll ensure the highest standards of service, maintain a smooth flow of operations, and provide personalized attention to guests, elevating their overall experience.

This role requires a deep understanding of fine dining etiquette, a passion for service excellence, and the ability to manage a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and direct the daily operations of the front-of-house staff, ensuring the team is performing to the highest standards.
- Provide training, guidance, and motivation to junior waitstaff, fostering a collaborative and professional atmosphere.
- Coordinate the seating arrangements and assign sections to servers to ensure efficient service flow.
- Greet guests warmly, offering personalized service and attending to their needs from arrival to departure.
- Anticipate guest preferences and tailor recommendations from the menu and wine list to enhance their experience.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, ensuring their satisfaction and resolving any issues promptly.
- Ensure that all food and beverage orders are delivered promptly and accurately to guests, adhering to fine dining standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings, to offer expert recommendations.
- Oversee the presentation of dishes and drinks, ensuring they meet the restaurant’s high-quality standards.
- Ensure all service areas are kept clean, organized, and stocked throughout service.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination for timely service.
- Assist in managing reservations, ensuring optimal table assignments and guest flow.
- Lead by example in demonstrating professional behaviour, attention to detail, and exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, cleanliness, and proper handling of food and beverages.

**Requirements**:

- Experience:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fine dining or hospitality.
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette, menu offerings, wine pairings, and high-end service standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and lead a team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
