**Job Summary**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our admin team as an Administrator.
**Responsibilities**:
- Complete Workflow and tasks.
- Scan paperwork and letters.
- Readcode and summarise on patients records.
- Complete Footfall (our website) enquiries.
- Support the practice in achieving quality indicators and targets set out in the QOF, LES/DES, IIF and GMS contract.
- Fulfil a proactive role towards the management of risks in all areas of the practice. This will include risk assessments of situations, taking appropriate action and reporting all incidents, near misses and hazards.
- All employees have a statutory duty of care for their own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. Employees are required to co-operate with management to enable the practice to meet its own legal duties and to report any hazardous situations or defective equipment.
- All employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of the public and members of staff in accordance with the Practice policies.
- Update SOP’s as necessary.
- To assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required.
- Keep up to date with changes in processes and new services.
- Maintain communication and work effectively with others across primary and secondary care services when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Promote your own continuing professional development.
- Participate in annual appraisals.
- Complete all mandatory training modules as specified by the organisation.
- Abide by the legal requirements and statutory rules relating to practice and record and maintain periodic professional registration.
- Be flexible to work extra to cover annual leave and sickness.
This Job Description is neither exhaustive nor exclusive and will be reviewed periodically in conjunction with the post holder.
The post holder is required to undertake any necessary work as may be required and that may reasonably be requested by the Partners or managers appropriate to maintain a high standard and efficient dispensing service.
**Experience, Skills, and Education**:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Experience of working within a GP practice.
- Knowledge of SystmOne clinical system.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and independently.
**Job Hours and Pay**:
Up to 30 hours per week over 5 days (Admin working hours 8.00-18.00)
Salary dependent on experience & qualification

Probus is our main surgery and we do hold clinics at The Merlin Centre and Tregony. The applicant will be required to work at Probus.
