BI Analyst / Data Analyst required by FinTech operating within the Insurance markets. You will be engaged to provide consultancy, advice and design services and then lead the subsequent implementation of new Business Intelligence functionality used across thebusiness.
This functionality will be used within the business, by the parent company but also productised and then used by clients and within the other SAAS products developed by the business.
You will work to understand the data landscape with data being drawn from multiple sources, multiple clients and open sources which is varied and disparate and includes SQL, PostgreSQL,.CSV, JSON and other formats. You will work with the Data Engineers whoare responsible for ETL/ELT and managing the data within S3 (lakes) and Redshift (warehouses) but you will naturally undertake some elements of SQL scripting to normalise and cleanse data prior to it being injected in the various BI Platforms that you willbe working on.
Currently, the organisation use Tableau and Quicksight for ad-hoc reporting and Yellowfin for data visualisation within the outwardly facing BI SAAS Product and as the DV element within their other SAAS products in production. As the BI Analyst / Data Analystyou will advice upon and help refactor the various dashboards used by the business and clients and will work to ensure that a suitable platform is found which is fit for purpose.
We are searching for a BI Analyst / Data Analyst / BI Developer who has gained experience in both dashboard development and ad-hoc reporting. You will be familiar with Tableau as a minimum and ideally have some awareness/exposure to either Quicksight or Yellowfin.You will be able to advice upon and implement new tooling and lead Business Intelligence / Dashboard development activity. It would be beneficial for you to have gained some experience in productising BI and DV tooling within SAAS platforms. Experience gainedin Insurance / Life Insurance would be highly desirable but non-essential. Excellent organisational and communication skills are pre-requisite.
This is a fully Outside IR35 compliant contract. You will be required to work under your own initiative, assessing the objectives, eliciting requirements and delivering a solution which is fit for purpose. It is anticipated that the initial work will be completedwithin 12 months but this assessment will form part of the early consultation and may be adjusted depending on input from the successful consultant who will advise on such matters and schedule work accordingly.
This global company operates from City of London offices but on a largely remote basis. You will be required to attend site one day PER MONTH. Weekly invoice processing available.
