BI Analyst / BI Developer - PowerBI, DAX, T-SQL, SQL Server, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Reporting Functionality. London / Remote (Hybrid, 3/2). 6 Month Contract Inside IR35. £450 - £550 P/Day Contract Rate.
BI Analyst / BI Developer required by global Law Firm to assist primarily with the migration of the core reporting functionality from Crystal Reports to PowerBI and the subsequent build-out of dashboard and reporting functionality.
The BI Analyst / BI Developer will work within the development team and primarily use their experience of PowerBI, DAX and SQL to help build the new PowerBI environment in preparation for the migration. There will also be some work relating to SQL Server, SSRSand the migration / transfer into the PowerBI ecosystem and/or maintenance of this current functionality.
Working within the development team you will ensure the data extracted from the datawarehouse and the information shown to users is accurate and reliable, understand how data is turned into information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enableskeybusiness decisions, gather requirements from key stakeholders, to advise on the best use ofvisualizations and to implement BI solutions and then work in the team to build out those solutions. That in turn will require you to work closely with project teams,business analysts and other stakeholders to derive functional and technical requirements, and turn these into designs and working solutions from a hands-on perspective. Once built, you will then be responsible for the design and maintenance of PowerBI dashboards,reports using DAX and/or T-SQL.
We are searching for a BI Analyst / BI Developer / PowerBI Developer who has technical PowerBI development expertise using DAX and T-SQL. You will ideally have some exposure to Crystal Reports (preferably experience migrating away from) as well as exposureto SSRS and SQL Server/MS Datawarehousing technologies. You will be comfortable engaging with both business and technical (development) stakeholders and be able to undertake full life cycle development from specification through to development and testingwith PowerBI Dashboards as well as ensuring the flow of data is accurate and effective. Excellent organisational and communication skills are pre-requisite.
