Which is where you join the journey. **WHAT TO EXPECT** The Opportunity This role will contribute to the planning, control and delivery of all new model launch activities for Jaguar Land Rover vehicle lines supporting the planning and management of Build, Batch and Hold activities. Working closely with the Launch Manufacturing team, this role will contribute to ensuring value for money is achieved recognising the safety, quality and delivery objectives. The Plant Launch Engineer will be responsible for leading an area of Product Coaches through launch build phases on multiple programmes. The role will require strong leadership skills as the team will not be track bound, therefore strong communication and leadership will be required. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include: - To support and assist the team in the management and control of all elements of the build delivery to ensure a "Flawless launch" - Assist in the delivery of relevant Launch Quality Operating System guidelines activity both in terms of management, control & delivery by milestone & build phase - Assist in the achievement of all departmental deliverables to target, area scorecard and master schedule - Work with colleagues to ensure the planning and control of all activities by build phase via creation of Master Schedule and Scorecard metrics are met - Working on activities relating to the delivery of all post build reworks & quality validation activities to achieve customer delivery dates & quality standards - Actively contribute to new model launch review meetings by preparing management information and supplying supporting information for the presentation of status reports where necessary - Assist in the creation, management and ongoing development of the Health and Safety audits, such as the Safety and Health Assessment Review Process and Plant Launch Scorecard metrics - Assist and support the Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and Current Manufacturing Engineers in problem resolution via Automated Issues Management Systems and Problem & Countermeasure process - Contribute to the delivery of all launch metrics in line with launch timing - Assist in the effective planning & delivery of all workforce readiness activity including hiring plans - Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested **WHAT YOU’LL NEED** Knowledge and Experience Essential: - Relevant previous experience of Launch in Manufacturing - Knowledge of the Manufacturing process of Vehicles - Some understanding of vehicle programme delivery processes & procedures - Awareness of Quality Operating Systems including Launch Quality Operating Systems & Integrated Product Structure - Microsoft package elements (Power Point & Excel preferable) Desirable: - Knowledge of Health and Safety Audits and ergonomics including risk assessments - Knowledge of Launch Quality Operating Systems procedures & deliverables - Some knowledge & experience of off track/post build process activity Personal Profile Essential: - Demonstrates our Creators' Code behaviours of Customer Love, Unity, Integrity, Growth and Impact. - Continually working hard to deliver a modern luxury experience to earn and keep our customers’ trust and loyalty. - Embracing differences, being empathetic, welcoming challenges together empowering each other to deliver. - Building trust by speaking openly and honestly, listening attentively, and treating others respectfully. - Taking initiative and using failure as an opportunity to learn.
