These are two permanent posts provide an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team of experienced lawyers within the Commercial Law Team reporting to a Legal Manager - Contracts and Commercial in the team.

The main functions of the roles are to provide legal advice and support across a wide range of interesting and varied legal work and projects in the areas of procurement and contracts and other commercial arrangements to clients across the Council.

These roles are an attractive opportunity for highly motivated lawyers to bring their experience and enthusiasm to the team and build on their experience and develop their own legal knowledge, experience and skills within a forward thinking and experienced team.

We are looking for enthusiastic lawyers who have a can-do attitude, excellent organisational, drafting, legal research and communication skills, who are flexible and innovative in their approach and will help the team to enable the Council to deliver its aims and priorities

The post holders will be qualified and practising Solicitors, Barristers or Legal Executives.

The posts are office-based at County Hall in Wakefield although flexible home working arrangements are currently available as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
