Trust Speciality Registrar in ENT (ST3+ equivalent)

**Duration**: Fixed Term ( 6 months )

Salary £50,017 Per Annum

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated team player to join our well established ENT team on a six month fixed term basis.

Applicants must hold full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice. This post is not recognised for training purposes, however the Trust will ensure teaching to a high standard to assist the successful applicant in progressing further.

**Responsibilities**:

- Post holder will be responsible to and supervised by ENT Consultants for clinical work.
- You should be able to organise the outpatient and inpatient work under the supervision of the Consultants.
- To work closely with all team members, both medical and non-medical.
- Attendance at regular meetings including Joint ENT/Radiology meeting.
- The post-holder will be encouraged to teach the SHO’s and nursing staff and to assist in the teaching of the A&E SHO.
- During the normal week there will be two sessions to pursue research activities, to go to teaching sessions and to set up and run audit projects when attendance at theatre is not obligatory.
- The post holder will attend the Rolling Half Day audit / teaching programme, postgraduate meetings organised by the Liverpool University Department.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.

The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services. The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.
