Overall Purpose of the Role To be a member of the Clinical Administration Team and provide an efficient, effective and high-quality administrative service to help manage the administrative aspects of our patients care. Key Responsibilities To provide administrative support for Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings including: booking meeting rooms, sending out supporting documentation, taking and distributing meeting notes and to follow up any actions as required. To process and manage all referrals received for St Lukes from external agencies and internal teams as requested. To accurately input, update and retrieve data in a timely manner, using a variety of systems (electronic and paper based), including patient records.
Maintain the medical records room and ensure medical record archiving is carried out annually by liaising with the offsite archiving company for the storage and retrieval of notes as and when required. Be aware of all aspects of work for the Community Nursing Team and Patient and Family Support Services in order to be able to respond to queries and work pro-actively. To aid communication between professional teams, other departments and external agencies to ensure a prompt and effective service. To train as required other members of the Clinical Administration Team on clinical processes whilst also maintaining and updating these processes to enable other team members to function effectively as a participative member of the team.
The emphasis within the office will be on team working, sharing of knowledge, skills and experience for the overall benefit of the organisation.
