**Company Description** Rank is a leading Gaming Operator, with a heavy reliance on it's Data Systems, providing insight & "Single View" of it's customers. As a Data Engineer within our Data and Analytics function, you will play a pivotal role in technically delivering our data and analytical product alongside a talented multi-disciplinary team comprising of business and data analysts, customer insight teams,data scientists and BI developers. You will be passionate about working with data and ensuring we build products that exposes the value of that data. This is a key role, building out a new Realtime Data Platform and single customer view for our Digital and Retail businesses to provide the data they vitally need to surface key action orientated data and insight that will transform our business. This position offers the opportunity to join a high performing team coupled the flexibility to work 2 days a week from home. You will be responsible for: - Identifying suitable, "right size" solutions, to delivery requirements and optimal solutions. - Effectively contributing to code reviews with other team members. - Having good working knowledge of engineering principles. - Working closely with all members of a geographically distributed agile team to deliver high-quality code. - Participating in all agile planning meetings and stand-ups. - Contributing to aspects of design - including but not limited to security, encryption, error logging, development environment configuration and testing. - Demonstrating knowledge of architectural methods and design patterns. - Presenting different options for solution design along with their pros and cons. **Qualifications** You will have knowledge of; - Source Control Management (SCM) e.g. Git - Continuous Integration Platforms (CI/CD, Azure Dev Op). - Agile Methodologies - SCRUM, KANBAN - Task management systems e.g. JIRA - Technical skills and hands on experience on as many of the following - Technologies, including SQL, SSIS, Data Bricks, Python, Spark, Kafka. - Experience of Data Engineering / BI Development - Microsoft Azure Technologies - e.g. Azure Dev Ops, Terraform, Synapse, Cosmos Db, etc - Message Queuing - Azure service bus, Kafka, MQ Series, Rabbit MQ - Understanding of Data Modelling standards - Kimball, Data Vault 2, Delta Lake, Parque.
