Are you a Laboratory Technician - Physics interested in working for a multi-billion dollar, multinational corporation based in Maidenhead, Berkshire? If so, this is the role for you
You will be joining the companies Tech Hub in Maidenhead. Where my client is looking for a driven individual, with experience in maintaining Laboratory equipment and assisting scientists with analysing results.
The Laboratory Technician - Physics Main tasks:

- Provides general laboratory support for research projects.
- Carries out routine maintenance on specific pieces of scientific equipment and liaises with support engineers to carry out repairs and contract maintenance.
- Monitors levels of laboratory consumable items and ensures stocks are replenished in a timely manner.
- Liaises with site services to ensure services needed for equipment are met. Experimental support
- Uses technical skills to operate analytical, spectroscopic or other scientific equipment.
- Uses specialist skills to prepare diamond samples in support of research projects.
- Uses gemmological knowledge and skills in support of research projects.
- Carries out test procedures to assess performance of test rigs, prototypes, etc. And records data.
The Laboratory Technician - Physics must have the following skills and experience:

- Good honours Degree in Physical Sciences or good Science A Levels with relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience of carrying out systematic analytical tasks and demonstrated ability to summarise the results of such activities.
- Experience in the maintenance and support of analytical equipment would be an advantage.
- Good experimental science skills with the desire to acquire reliable data and understand its significance.
- Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems and liaise with relevant people to support this.
- Effective communicator.
- Good organisational skills with a pro-active approach to equipment support and maintenance.
