Job description

We’re looking for an experienced and focussed Finance Partner (Operational) to join our award?winning housing association, providing social and affordable homes and housing management
services to help communities thrive across Salford.

As a trusted and knowledgeable partner, you will be an ambassador of the Salix values, working closely with the Finance Manager providing insightful data analysis to assist in driving value for money and robust financial performance.

**The role - What I will be doing?**
- Partnering and building effective relationships with the property department to help understand what is driving their activity. This will effectively be the repairs and maintenance teams as well as property compliance and investment capital works.
- Working with the Finance Manager to deliver high quality monthly management accounts.
- Providing commentary and variance analysis to inform decision making for operational budget holder holders, managers and directors.
- Supporting budget holders to develop robust budgets.
- Assisting Budget Holders with scenario planning, and financial modelling.

**What we’re looking for**
- A finance professional who is driven to improve services and self-motivated.
- A part qualified accountant (AAT, ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) with experience of writing commentary explaining key variances.
- An effective communicator who can provide financial advice and guidance at all levels.
- Strong excel skills - VLOOKUP’s, Sumifs, Pivot Tables
