**Job summary**:
The Home Office works to build a safe, fair and prosperous UK. We achieve this through our work on counter-terrorism, policing, fire, crime, drugs policy, immigration and passports.
The Chief Operating Officer Group works closely with the Home Office’s policy and operational commands to enable us together to deliver the department’s priorities. The group is comprised of different teams and professional functions, including Commercial, Finance, People, Portfolio and Project Delivery, Security, Estates and Information and Digital, Data and Technology.
**Job description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain effective oversight of the joint Pass Enquiries inbox, ensuring queries are resolved within service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide administrative support to the wider Physical Security Team. Answer telephone calls and respond to various pass, access and security-related questions. Handle incoming post.
- Process access control requests across the Home Office estate.
- This list of duties is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other tasks appropriate to the grade of the post.
**Working Pattern**
Due to the business requirements of this role, it is only available on a full-time basis.
**Training**
Full training will be provided on the Home Office-specific systems and processes used in this role. You’ll receive guidance and support to ensure you’re confident and competent in all aspects of the position.

We are seeking a motivated individual who can demonstrate:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in engaging with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work at pace in a busy office environment.
- Flexibility and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
**Desirable criteria**
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive information.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and strong communication skills.
