Samson Security is seeking a highly motivated and professional security officer to join our team. We provide a range of dedicated security services to various clients, including NHS and non-NHS organizations. Our services include static guarding, patrolling, opening and closing premises, and alarm response.

The post holder will be part of the Samson Security Team, they will be professional, highly motivated and an enthusiastic team member flexible and able to adapt to any service requirement.

The post holder will be also dealing with a wide variety of potential conflict incidents many of which will occur in very emotionally charged, traumatic scenarios. Throughout this, the post holder will need to always remain professional and impartial.

The post holder will be expected to engage in appropriate physical intervention whilst adhering to all local, national and legal requirements.

Main duties of the job

This can be a demanding role that is as rewarding as it is challenging.

Working an average of 46 hours on an internal rotation, covering nights and days, your duties will consist of:

- Responding to Security incidents where you will be required to attend and assist in the Security request.
- To attend to notifications of intruder alarm activations, responding accordingly.
- Internal and external Security Patrols.
- Front of House duties, include greeting visitors to the allocated site.
- Car Park Patrols to ensure vehicles are parked in accordance with the local Policy.

**Education & Qualifications**

Essential criteria

SIA qualification DS or CP with relevant experience.

Good general education - GCSE or equivalent

Must be prepared to undertaker further training including PIAM

**Knowledge**

Essential criteria

Customer service/customer care

Desirable criteria

Awareness of NHS hospital security policy

**Experience**

Essential criteria

2 years of security-related experience

Experience working in a large organisation is an advantage.

Experience using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel & Outlook

Experience in mobile patrol/alarm response

Desirable criteria

Experience of NHS Security

**Skills & Abilities**

Essential criteria

Excellent verbal communication skills

Negotiation skills

Able to work under pressure and prioritise work to meet deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.50 per hour
