We are looking for an enthusiastic Childcare Assessor / Tutor to join our quality focussed team, you will be responsible for supporting a caseload of learners in their place of work, providing hands on and out in the field training, working with learners and employers.

If you are looking for a change in job role and do not currently have the relevant assessor qualification, full training can be provided.

This is a hybrid-based role where you will have learners across the Southwest of England so you must be willing to travel when required to support learners. You’ll be joining a specialised childcare training company at an exciting time of growth and expansion, working in a fun and friendly supportive environment in an organisation with a strong focus on people, culture and staff mental health and well-being. The role is home based with flexible hours.

Qualifications will include Childcare Apprenticeships Level 2 - 5 and short accredited and non-accredited courses. You will be using a variety of teaching and assessing techniques to ensure the highest standard of bespoke learning is offered. Through the work you do, you will not only be making a difference in the lives of learners, but also increasing standards and reputation of the industry.

Main Duties
- Supporting a caseload of learners to achieve their Level 2 - Level 5 Apprenticeship qualifications and short courses
- Visiting learners at their workplace every month depending on qualification and the need of the learner. Providing the required level of support to enable timely and successful completions
- Ensuring compliance with ESFA funding rules and awarding organisation standards.
- Delivering outstanding teaching and learning of knowledge components.
- Mentoring and coaching learners, working to overcome any barriers to learning and adapting delivery to meet learner’s needs.
- Maintaining regular contact with employers during the duration of the learning journey, maintaining momentum and energy throughout the qualification
- Taking part in continuous professional development, including completion of own qualifications.
- Be responsible for completing and maintaining appropriate internal and external quality standards Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge, Experience, Qualifications
- Excellent practical and theoretical knowledge of early years.
- Industry specific qualifications including Early Years Workforce Level 3 or above
- Qualified Tutor Assessor (CAVA, A1, PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert ED, EAT etc)
- Current relevant industry experience within the childcare / early years sector
- Good IT skills and experience of E-portfolios preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
