We are looking for an experienced grounds maintenance operative to assist in leading our small team on high end prestigious commercial properties. Our company works to the very highest standards of maintenance and is long established. (26 years)

Horticultural Trades Association members, Trustmark licence holders, Association of Professional Landscapers Professional gardeners.

**Experience**

Experienced gardener/grounds maintenance operative with 3 years minimum experience**.**

**Hours**

We have great flexible working arrangements

April to October Monday - Friday between 8:30am - 4:30pm, paid 144 hours per month.

The Months of November to March you will work less hours for the same pay each month, which will be 4-5 days per week. Free time during the winter months for a balanced work life.

**Tasks**

1. Carry out manual duties in connection with overall maintenance of each site.

2. Cut, strim, and edge lawns using various mechanical and manual equipment including hedge cutters, mowers, strimmer's, leaf blowers, ride on tractors and hand tools.

3. Dig, hoe or fork flower beds

4. Prune bushes, shrubs, and hedges as required throughout the season depending on species and type.

5. Remove debris, litter garden waste from sites.

6. Sweep hard standings and edges around car parks.

7. Check, clean and maintain machinery as directed (only where instruction has been given).

8. Carry out regular stock checks on equipment in each van before leaving each site.

9. Lift, stack, carry various loads, involving manual handling.

10. Assist in any other gardening duties required to facilitate any maintenance regime, or task outlined by driver supervisor, or team leader.

11. Comply with Health and Safety Policy, including wearing and looking after all personal protective equipment as per instruction.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,000.00 per year
