**The Job**:
**Suuply Chain Practitioner
- Procurement - 12 month contract - Barrow - £22.00ph UMB or £17.38ph PAYE (Inside IR35)**

**The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.**

**Clearance Requirements & Eligibility**

SC Only No ITAR (cannot start on BPSS)

**This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC and you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period. **The Role**

As a Supply Chain Practitioner you will be undertaking procurement activities including, raising Request for Quotations, negotiating price and lead time, creating and managing purchase orders, expediting delivery and managing payments, (with support) and in line with delegated authority. You will also Create expediting reports and undertake expediting activity with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries in accordance with programme requirements, Communicate with suppliers and internal / external stakeholders - resolving a wide variety of routine problems and quality issues, escalating complex / high impact issues when necessary and Coordinate procurement metrics and related actions within the team - utilising Business Intelligence tool as appropriate.

**Essential Skills**
- Basic knowledge of procurement tools and techniques
- Basic understanding of negotiation and supplier management techniques
- Good communication skills
