**What you’ll be doing**:

- Providing thought leadership to improve and shape functional capability and performance so that the Supply Chain Function is best placed to contribute to wider business objectives now and in the future
- Leading and developing the Submarines Supply chain Functional Excellence strategy for Risk, People Capability, Governance & Compliance, Digital & Data and Sustainability
- Interface with the wider BAE Systems Enterprise (Other Business Units, Sector & Group) to ensure alignment in the planning and execution of Functional Strategies. Act as the conduit for Functional Excellence into the Submarines business unit
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Supply Chain Operational Excellence & Transformation Programme, reporting to central OpEx organisation and the Functional Senior Leadership Team
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate future challenges into the OpEx Programme, using best practices from BAE and external organizations Oversee benefit identification, tracking, and realization, with associated reporting and governance
- Lead Quality and SHE Management, audit planning, and process adherence, supporting audit results and improvements
- Design and implement the Digital Strategy, ensuring integration with the Submarines business and the wider BAE Systems Enterprise (Group & Sector) and secure & manage necessary funding over the IBP period
- Own and manage the Supply Chain Sustainability agenda and program
- Represent Supply Chain in various forums, boards, and panels, ensuring effective communication and understanding

**Your skills and experiences**:
Essential:

- University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry
- Effectively manage Projects, Programmes or Portfolios and provide guidance in those areas
- Extensive knowledge of Project Management & Change Management principles, with track record of delivery
- Comprehensive understanding of how the Supply Chain Function supports projects and people across the business
- Setting and delivering organisational strategy with a Supply Chain context
- Establish and maintain strong customer and partner relationships (internal and external)
- Prior experience managing complex and high profile transformation activities

Desirable:

- Project Management Chartership (APM ChPP) or appropriate equivalent (MCIPS) with evidenced experience
