The postholder will be a member of the Employment & Skills Team, but will also be working closely with staff delivering nature recovery and land-based programmes across the Trust.

The post holder will lead the development and delivery of green skills training sessions, primarily focused on delivering the knowledge and practical skills needed for working within the land, nature recovery and conservation sector. The post holder will deliver training sessions in both classroom and outdoor settings for a broad range of different learners as well as providing 121 guidance and support for individuals looking to build a career in the environmental sector.

**ROLE AND MAIN PURPOSES OF THE POST**

**Delivery**
- Manage a portfolio of green skills related training projects
- Working with Groundwork colleagues, project partners and funders develop, plan and deliver a flexible programme of community engagement work, training activities, workshop sessions, information updates and volunteering activities relating to land, conservation and environmental sustainability.
- Organise, plan and deliver formal and informal training courses, sessions and activities for different groups of learners, designed to inspire, develop knowledge and practical skills relating to land, conservation and green careers
- Complete all necessary monitoring, assessment, action planning and review processes required by awarding bodies and project funders.
- Curate a portfolio of training resources and materials linked to green skills development for use across different training provision
- Working with Groundwork colleagues and relevant local referral partners recruit learners for different courses where required and complete relevant enrolment and initial assessment procedures to support production of individual learning plans.
- To provide targeted learning support, 121 reviews and mentoring for individual learners accessing provision to help them achieve their learning goals and progress to a positive destination

**Business and Service Development**
- Lead the design and development of a portfolio of new training courses and modules of learning - both accredited and non-accredited - relating to green skills, land and conservation
- Support the development of content for new qualifications
- Grow and develop a network of employers and specialist training providers operating within the green economy, ensuring information and activities kept up to date on Salesforce, using information to support design of new training provision
- Manages and develops relationships with range of partners at project level
- Identifies opportunities for developing new projects and activities relating to green skills delivery

Uses internal and external data relating to green skills and the green economy, and shares learning with team to inform service development and practice

**Financial and Resource Management**
- Responsible for managing project budgets and planning for effective use of resources for delivery

Supports development and delivery of financial sustainability plans for green skills related projects and thematic programmes

**People Management & Development**
- Line management of any project support staff and responsibility for staff performance
- Embeds culture and values through own area of responsibility

Proactively shares specialist skills and knowledge with others

**Internal Management**
- Embeds policy and procedure within directly managed projects and programmes
- Supports delivery of elements of business improvement priority plans within specialist area
- Identifies opportunities for improvement within directly managed activities and projects and the wider Trust
