**The Role**

**First Response Advisor / Legal Assistant**

**Taking instructions from new business enquiries for Housing Disrepair / Civil Action claims.**

**Support fee earning staff and ensure a seamless quality of service for clients.**

**Key responsibilities & duties**:

- Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- Set up new claims from start to finish before the case is passed over to a Fee Earner.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Make copies of correspondence and other printed material.
- Prepare answers to routine letters.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for clients and staff.
- Set up and maintain electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
- Conduct searches to find needed information, using such sources as the Internet.
- Coordinate conferences and meetings.
- Establish work procedures and schedules,
- Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
- Manage projects, and contribute to committee and team work.
- Order and dispense supplies.
- Ensure that company format policies are followed,.

**Person Specification**
- Graduate preferred but not essential
- Computer Literate
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Good organisational skills

**Salary: OTE £23,000**

**Salary**: From £19,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
