**Job description**:
The Market Insight Lead (SEO) will focus on gathering, analysing, and interpreting data on satellite communications markets to generate actionable insights that support funding decisions and innovation strategy.
**Key Responsibilities**
Lead analysis of existing data to extract trends and lessons for future investment decisions in satellite communications.
Conduct market and sector intelligence scans for the commercial space and telecommunications sectors, including competitor landscape mapping.
Develop and deliver concise, evidence-based “Sector Opportunity Snapshots.”
Work with the Business Development Lead to combine financial forecasts with market intelligence for robust proposal analysis.
Design and maintain data sets and dashboards that allow consistent monitoring of trends.
Collaborate with the Function Lead to create accessible products and outputs (e.g. proposal briefs, thematic reports).
**Person specification**:
Strong research and analytical skills, with experience in market intelligence, strategy, or innovation analysis.
Ability to interpret complex data sets and present insights in clear, non-technical language.
Understanding of innovation and R&D ecosystems, ideally with exposure to multiple sectors.
Proficient in data tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, or equivalent) to handle and visualise data.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a small pilot team.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage complex information sets, prioritise tasks effectively, and ensure high standards of accuracy and consistency across all outputs.
- Proven analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing advice or briefing material for senior audiences. Able to present complex information clearly and succinctly to enable decision-making.
- Proven ability to contribute to strategy or policy development, track emerging issues, and adapt plans or recommendations accordingly.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate activity across workstreams, and deliver high-quality outputs in a timely and structured way.
