**The Role - Overview**

Our Marketing Assistant is a new role within the marketing team. With a background and keen interest in marketing, the Marketing Assistant supports the whole team as needed to plan and execute projects, complete assigned actions, and deliver against target objectives.

They work on a diverse range of tasks from creative and digital projects through to marketing our services and new client onboarding. The role is a mixture of administrative, assistant-level duties along with many opportunities to get involved in interesting marketing projects, and so best suits someone who is a team-player and has a keen interest in marketing.

We are a specialist company, involved in the provision of software, data processing and fundraising solutions to the charity sector, focussed mainly on the provision of fundraising lottery services.

We currently work with over 500 charities and other organisations across the UK. These range from national charities such as Cancer Research UK, Oxfam, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Sue Ryder, Marie Curie and Diabetes UK, to regional charities such as adult and children’s hospices, down to smaller local charities. In addition, we also work with a number of sports clubs ranging from Premier League Football Clubs, such as Everton, through to local Sunday league sides. We also manage a specific lottery for The Forces charities and for corporate clients such as New Look and Screwfix.

The Role - Specifics
- Full time, permanent position
- Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
- Based in our office in Barrow in Furness

Your duties would include:

- New business enquiries
- Support the team as and when requested with new enquiries:

- Taking notes during enquiry calls
- Proofing proposals when asked
- Saving correspondence on the company CRM
- From time to time, may involve speaking to new enquirers and taking messages
- In time, may involve responding to enquiries when other team members are busy or absent, either for holidays or client visits
- Assisting in collating information and costings from within the company and our supply network, dealing with multiple stakeholders at all levels
- New client onboarding
- Supporting the Marketing Services Manager throughout the new client onboarding process:

- Attending meetings in person or by telephone call, and keeping minutes during meetings
- Being a support contact throughout the onboarding process and acknowledging incoming communications in a timely fashion
- Carrying out administrative duties essential to keeping the project on track
- Supporting on the development of new services
- Working on our market research and competitor analysis plan
- Supporting, as and when required, on the development of our products and services, or initiatives across the whole marketing team
- Working with the team on creating marketing documents and pitches to sell our services
- Helping to plan out the steps required to develop new services
- Over time, developing project templates for ongoing initiatives
- Helping with sourcing suppliers, materials, etc
- Writing status updates for the team or the wider company
- Working on marketing activities
- Working with the Marketing Services Manager on our Content Marketing programme
- Participating in idea generation workshops, putting forward ideas for content marketing pieces
- Drafting marketing content in line with our schedule and assisting in proofing content prepared by others
- Supporting on the production of graphical content, creating or sourcing graphics, photography or infographics in line with our content schedule, as directed by the Marketing Services Manager
- Speaking to suppliers to explain requirements, sometimes to negotiate on deadlines or inform them of problems and delays
- Supporting on updating the company website, as required
- Supporting on updating client microsite with winners and lottery results, when needed
