**About the role**
As part of the back-office business support team your primary aim will be to maximise chargeable work opportunities for fee earning staff.
Your job will be to provide a professional and timely accounting service in respect to all payments of invoices and expenses through the purchase ledger, as well as providing support with the Deltek and finance administration requirements of the business.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities*
- Processing invoices and credit notes daily for all entities under APEM Group.
- Setting up new supplier accounts in Deltek.
- Processing expense and credit card claims.
- Uploading weekly credit card statements.
- Processing all outgoing payments on the bank as well as on Deltek.
- Processing supplier and expense payments run as requested.
- Processing urgent payments as requested.
- Responding to and resolving all internal and external supplier and purchase queries.
- Completing monthly supplier reconciliations.
- Ensure adherence to month end deadlines.
- Assisting with weekly bank reconciliations if required.
- Supporting Senior AP Assistant with changes / testing new processes.
- To carry out any additional activities that may be reasonably required or requested.
- Support the wider Transaction Team during busy periods following relevant training.
You will also be expected to
- Be involved in projects, providing support to senior members of the project team
- Carry out data processing, analysis, and interpretation.
- Ensure that work allocated to you is delivered on time, in budget and to a high quality.
- Attend relevant conferences, marketing events and meetings to promote APEM's services.
- Have client contact where required.
**About you**

You will be an experienced finance professional who is adept at reconciliations and invoicing. You will have demonstrable experience in generating new starter accounts and working towards tight month end deadlines. Due to the nature of the role, you will need excellent analytical and IT skills and also be adept at providing excellent customer service. As you will be expected to support the wider Transaction Team during busy periods following relevant training, you must be highly adaptable and able to prioritise effectively. A relevant professional qualification is desirable, but not essential.

Skills and Experience*
- 1-2 years experience of working in a Finance related role
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience of invoicing and chasing outstanding debtor accounts
- Experience of bank reconciliations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent IT skills
