Purpose

This role offers an opportunity to work with Seerist, a growing company that is creating the most exciting technology and tools for predictive security analysis on the market. This role will support the work of Seerist’s intelligence team, which is focused on ensuring that our clients have verified information through which they can maintain situational awareness and stay ahead of threats.

In this role, you will specifically contribute to building Seerist’s global database of security events. We are seeking part-time, fully-remote subcontractors to support in this role.

Role and Responsibilities
- Use a range of sources to identify and select events that match criteria for inclusion in the database, including events of civil unrest, conflict, terrorism, and crime.
- Research relevant information on these events, including location, damage/loss estimates, affected assets and sectors.
- Support quality review to ensure accuracy of current and historic incident data
- Contribute to other research and quality review tasks as required

**Requirements**:

- Proven research and analytical skills, ideally in a context relevant to political, security, or operational risk issues
- Strong English-language writing skills; able to write short products with mínimal editorial review
- Close attention to detail
- Experience utilizing opensource intelligence for researching countries, issues and threat actor groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Research proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, French, or other foreign languages.
- Understanding of political violence and security risks and how they related to clients across a range of sectors
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience operating in a commercial and team environment
