Flower Pots Day Nursery is currently seeking enthusiastic and Level 3 qualified room leaders to join our friendly team at our Kings Langley location. As a room leader, you will play a vital role in leading a small team in early years and ensuring the smooth running of the room. This full-time position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth, including additional training and potential for promotion within our organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safeguard the children in your care, prioritizing their safety, well-being, and emotional development at all times.
- Observe and record children's development through age-appropriate activities, ensuring their individual progress is documented accurately.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for children, parents, and staff, adhering to nursery policies and procedures.
- Build positive and successful relationships with children, parents, and staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.
- Lead the team within your assigned room, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure best practices and high standards are consistently maintained.
- Support the management team by actively contributing to the smooth operation of the nursery.
- Stay up-to-date with current childcare regulations and best practices, implementing them effectively within the room.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in early years education or a related field.
- Demonstrate previous experience working within an early years setting, showcasing a solid understanding of childcare practices.
- Possess a clean enhanced DBS check (Flower Pots Day Nursery will facilitate this process upon employment).
- Passionate about providing exceptional care and education to young children, with a warm and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with children, parents, colleagues, and management.
- Strong organizational abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and maintain accurate records.
- Exhibit leadership qualities, motivating and inspiring your team while maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to undertake additional training as required.
