**The Role
Are you a skilled programmer? Do you have good, working knowledge of and previous experience working with Matlab, Java Script, Simulink and Python?If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

We are a designer and manufacturer of revolutionary new clean electric propulsion systems, looking to appoint a Senior Control Systems and HMI Software Programmer, with an interest in clean energy to be at the cutting edge of helping to bring electric andhydrogen power into a wider market. The role provides ample opportunity to make a real difference and we expect all our staff to use their experience to improve our products at every stage of the design and development process.

The key responsibilities of a Senior Control Systems and HMI Software Programmer include, but are not limited to:

- To be at the cutting edge of helping to bring electric and hydrogen power into a wider market.

**The Company
Ecomar Propulsion is an ambitious new company developing clean propulsion systems for the marine environment.

The ‘Purpose’ of Ecomar is to Research, Develop and Manufacture high quality and ‘marine safe’ clean electric propulsion systems.All employees are expected to use their best endeavours, each day, to ensure that the Purpose is foremost in their thinkingand delivery of their personal outputs. Whatever specialisation they have been recruited for, all employees have a requirement to just ‘get stuck in’ developing new systems and overcoming the challenges arising from transferring current engine technology toclean electrical systems.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Senior Control Systems and HMI Software Programmer are:

- High level of proficiency in:

- Matlab.
- Simulink.
- Java Scipt.
- Python.
- Experience with Canbus, Modbus TCP/ IP, Automotive ECU’s would be preferred.
- An understanding of switching and control systems and the ability to adapt to operational reality.
- Practical problem-solving capabilities with the ability to integrate analogue control systems into digital formats.
