An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Applications Engineer - Control Systems based in Fareham, Hampshire to join a leading manufacturer of complex electronics equipment that is sold into the marine industry all over the world. As a Applications Engineer - Control Systems, you will work with some of the marine industry's most iconic brands to deliver state of the art, fully customised control systems. Their Digital Switching system allows users to control their onboard electricaland electronic systems, such as lighting, navigation, entertainment systems and security systems. You will work as a technical aide to the sales teams, boat builders and dealers and assist with system design and programming of the digital control system. You will get to see your projects through from inception to completion and have a significant impacton aesthetics and functionality the finished product. Primary duties and responsibilities for the Applications Engineer - Control Systems include: - Provide technical expertise to support sales efforts in dialogue with boat designers - Influence customer requirements and translate high-level customer requirements into the system requirements - Develop and implement machine control software based on Codesys control platforms - Develop and implementation "Human-Machine Interface" (HMI) - Support consultations, customer visits and proposals across the EMEA territory Key competencies and experiences required for the Applications Engineer - Control Systems role are: - Proficient in programming Human-machine Interface (HTML),PLCs (IEC 61131) and preferably Codesys - Preferred education in electro-technology, control systems, electronics or automation - Excellent collaboration and communication skills - A willingness to autonomously learn and research to solve complex technical problems My client offers superb training and career progression opportunities.
