Painter & Decorator Craftsperson

The Operational Estates department at Ysbyty Gwynedd is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Painter and Decorator, to assist with the maintenance of the Health Board’s hospitals, clinics and surgeries. This rare opportunity offers an individual the experience of working within a large healthcare estate.
You will have gained qualifications and / or previous experience within a painting and decorating role, the role is to assist with the maintenance of the Health Board’s property across the West.
Preparation of internal and external paint surfaces.
Carry out minor plasterwork repairs.
Room clearance, manoeuvring of heavy items of furniture and equipment.
Re-glazing operations and making good putty, mastics and glazing compounds when painting or undertaking repair work.

They will report to the Building Maintenance Team Leader, and work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Annual leave allowance is 28 days up to 5 years service, 30 days between 5 and 10 years service and 34 days over 10 years service plus 8 Bank Holidays.
