**A&P TYNE-Temporary Structural QC Inspector**

We're looking for a Structural Inspector to carry out visual examinations of structures and their components then compile reports.

Its a temporary role covering nightshift over the weekend on one of our challenging and demanding fabrication projects.

You will work 7pm to 7am, Friday to Sunday and it is expected that the contract will last approximately three months.

**Who are A&P Tyne?**

Within our 24,000 square metre Fabrication Hall, where your projects will be based, we have a high bay construction hall where we build as well as use a panel line, profile cutting and we have sub-assembly area too. With the largest fabrication facilities on the East coast of England, putting it simply we build units for vessels and join them together.

We have in-house capability to maintain tight project control and work with our customers to deliver together what they need, as they need it, when they need it.

**So what will you do?**
- You'll work with our Quality Engineers / Welding Co-ordinators / Project Managers and Fabrication team to ensure examinations are conducted in line with our plans
- You'll examine our welded components on multiple occasions during the project and then compile reports needed (CSWIP, Structural or NDE)
- Conducting inspection of deposited welds, you'll be verifying compliance to specified requirements
- Reviewing reports, you'll then verify compliance with project requirements
- You'll be maintaining our project related databases relating to inspections
- Completing equipment checks you'll consistently stay within A&P procedure

**And who are we looking for?**
- Working knowledge of best practice able to detect surface and subsurface defects in materials without causing damage.
- A Time-served Plater, with a good understanding of drawings and co-ordinates
- Experience of Working with HSEQ and document control
- A passion to deliver quality projects to your customers.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
