In the Payroll Officer job, you will be:

- Running and developing the payroll functions of the organisation
- Processing and maintaining records, setting up new employees and administering records for new starters and leavers
- Calculating wages, tax and NI commitments, deductions and distributing weekly & monthly wages
- Responding to payroll enquiries and liaising with clients and HMRC
- Undertaking other admin/accounting/financial tasks as and when required

To be considered for the Payroll Officer job, you will need:

- Strong payroll experience with knowledge of accounting principles
- Ability to manage payroll and a small team
- Previous experience working with / within payroll bureau
- Financial and analytical experience
- Knowledge of CIS, auto enrolment, monthly and weekly payroll
- IT skills with experience of various accounting software packages
- Good attention to detail and ability to think on your feet

This is a permanent, full-time role working 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The role is based in Colwyn Bay and is on a salary ranging from £20k - £35k per annum depending on skills and experience. Up to £35k for higher / management levelexperience.
