Butler Rose is pleased to be supporting a recently acquired organisation who has multiple sites across the UK with the recruitment of a Management Accountant. Due to their recent acquisition, our client is expecting growth over the coming years and furtherinvestment into the business.

The Management Accountant will report into a Financial Controller and will form part of a specialist services team, with the main purpose of the role being responsible for supporting senior management and driving performance in the business through the productionand interpretation of high-quality management accounts.

Some of the duties to perform will be:

- Providing financial support by working closely with colleagues to ensure the P&Ls and associated KPIs are accurate and are used by the teams as a management tool.
- Work with stakeholders to suggest and follow up on revenue generating and cost saving ideas in line with key strategies for the business unit.
- Deliver high quality management accounts and commentary for businesses
- Review bank reconciliations throughout the month ensuring all queries are resolved for month end.
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations including follow up of open items to ensure correctly dealt with on a timely basis.
- Run and maintain models to assess suitability of provisions held for clawback of insurance income.
- Prepare the monthly Board pack.
- Review and approval of weekly supplier payments and employee expense runs.
- Approve adhoc payments via online banking and send payment files to bacs.

Person Spec
- Qualified or newly qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, including experience of interpreting financial data and determining trends.
- Good written and oral communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate complex financial information to operational stakeholders.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, and work under own initiative.
