**Job Overview**:
The role of a team leader is to be responsible for ensuring the operators are working to the required production standards. As well as being managing quality standards across the shift and ensures that machine is operational and relevant documentation is completed.
The team leader must be able to provide guidance, instruction and direction to employees to help achieve the best output possible from the team. Being able to measure both the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the team and reporting that back to the production supervisor.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Ensure relevant SOP / ISOP and information packs are on display during production.
- Inspection and ensuring quality including first offs / last offs.
- Ensure all operators have sufficient labels and packaging.
- Conduct hourly checks during production ensuring quality standards are too high standards.
- Effective communication and encapsulate all production details in (Werma) software to ensure this.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and make sure machines are immaculate.
- Ensure that all machines and processes are operating correctly without issues.
- Inform technicians of any issues with machines and processes. Aid in the training of operators in conjunction with training officer.
- Be able to carry out a safe shutdown at the end of shifts.

**Health and safety**:
- Be knowledgeable of health and safety and environmental requirements specific to your department and the factory.
- Ensure all requirements are met and strictly adhered to.
- Ensure that hazardous waste is properly disposed of and that other wastes are properly segregated.
- Never compromise employee’s health or safety under any circumstances.
- Comply with applicable company procedures.
- Adhere to company policies (e.g., no smoking, no food on shop floor, use of mobile phones) and lead by example.
Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
