What You’ll Do as a Talent & Performance Specialist

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

- Support Strategic Talent Initiatives: You’ll help shape and deliver a progressive talent and performance strategy aligned to Primark’s 2030 goals, embedding best practices across performance management, talent mapping, and succession planning.
- Deliver Global Projects: You’ll manage multiple end-to-end talent and performance initiatives across global business areas, ensuring smooth execution and measurable impact.
- Create Tools & Resources: You’ll develop and continuously improve tools, templates, and guidance materials that support effective performance and talent conversations across the business.
- Enable Technology & Operations: You’ll partner with P&C Operations and tech teams to ensure talent and performance processes are efficient, tech-enabled, and scalable.
- Drive Engagement & Capability: You’ll lead global engagement activities and capability-building efforts to embed ownership of performance and talent processes, including talent reviews and succession planning.
- Generate Insight & Continuous Improvement: You’ll manage data collection and analytics to generate actionable insights, while staying close to market trends to continuously improve Primark’s talent and performance practices.

What You’ll Bring

- Relevant Experience in Fast-Paced Environments: You’ll bring experience working in dynamic, global organisations—ideally with a background in retail—and a strong understanding of how to deliver talent and performance initiatives at scale.
- Specialist Knowledge in Talent & Performance: You’ll have 5+ years’ experience in talent, P&C, or L&D roles, with direct involvement in leading performance and talent management processes.
- Data & Systems Proficiency: You’ll be confident working with data, analytics, and people systems (experience with Workday is a plus), using insights to inform decisions and drive improvements.
- Strong Project Management Skills: You’ll be an experienced project manager, capable of overseeing multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Global Perspective & Relationship Building: You’ll understand how to roll out global programmes with sensitivity to local and cultural differences and have a proven ability to build effective relationships across all levels.
- Resilient & Results-Focused: You’ll thrive in a fast-changing environment, able to manage competing priorities, communicate clearly, and deliver results with confidence and agility.
