**The role**

**Compliance & Quality Assurance Officer job details**:

- Develop, maintain, and implement the Company Group's Compliance policies and Procedures, ensuring Company policies follow applicable laws and regulations
- Monitor the Company Group's compliance with regulations and internal policies
- When carrying out quality assurance and transacting business, be conscious of profitability to both the underwriters and the brokerage, and costs of client handling (including the scheduling of client visits)
- When carrying out quality assurance identify the risk level of any omissions and report those that are high risk to Management immediately to limit our exposure and ensure transparency to our clients
- Provide technical support and advice on compliance risk and regulations
- Coordinate and develop training for employees on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance
- Develop company's communication on compliance issues
- Identify, measure, monitor and control compliance risks, through the development of risk reporting and the maintenance of all risk registers
- Work with the Marketing Team to ensure all Marketing materials, websites, external presentations, and client documentation complies with regulations
- Coordinate our annual audit and support external audits where appropriate, and assist in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulatory organisations
- Oversee the selection, and the onboarding process of new agencies, introducers and other third parties, and complete Risk Assessments and Due Diligence checks on all new partners
- Source, develop, maintain, and implement an Agency Management Platform
- Maintain our Agency, Introducer, and third-party ledgers
- Perform routine risk assessments to help the Company Group understand compliance risk, scope, and significance
- Provide monthly Compliance KPIs for inclusion in the monthly Management Information report
- Contribute to projects where appropriate, to put forward new ideas and ways of working whilst maintaining and upholding our Core Values and brand identity

**Skills needed to succeed as Compliance & QA Officer at McClarrons**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience working in a compliance function within the insurance industry
- Knowledge and understanding of FCA regulations and how they relate to insurance
- Basic computer literacy & numeracy skills
- Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivation, drive and enthusiasm
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to instigate and communicate change effectively
- Your values and behaviours are in-line with McClarrons’ Core Values and Competency
Framework
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise

**Helpful skills (not required)**:

- CII and ICA qualifications
- Wide social interests
- Experience managing an Agency Management Platform
