**All About the Role**
Based at our Newark Steel Site in Balderton, we have a temporary role within our Transport department. The purpose of this role is to provide full administration support and transport planning to the teams on site. You will ensure that all transport planning and legal responsibilities are met on a day-to-day basis. The Hours for this role are 8.30 am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30-5.00 on a Friday.

This is a 9-month maternity cover contract and full training of our business will be given prior to the maternity leave starting.

Specific tasks may include:

- Liaising with operations staff on daily work plan
- Route planning.
- Organising into group loads from other depots
- Legal compliance for our vehicle maintenance, drivers and site responsibilities
- Health & safety, including random CCTV checks
- Provide a wide variety of administrative support including general transport admin, scanning, filing, liaising with drivers
- To help drive excellent customer service & a continuous improvement mindset
- Supporting and communicating effectively with internal staff

- Experience in a transport department in an administrative or planning capacity
