Warehouse Supervisor - Manufacturing

ABT Loadmac - the UK’s only manufacturer of Truck Mounted Forklifts, a progressive and innovative group, with globally renowned products require a Warehouse Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor with experience of implementing processes and procedures as well as designing new layouts of efficient materials processing - this will be the first task. Ideally you will come from a metal processing environment, although other backgrounds will be considered if you can display experience in new process implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for defining the methods, policies, processes and procedures relating to materials management within the designated areas.
- Responsible for constructing and managing the departments budgets and costs and for ensuring that the department have the appropriate resources, capacity and capability, to meet current and future demand.
- Responsible and accountable for managing Health & Safety and the working Environment within the designated areas in line with Company and Statutory requirements. Conduct and maintain Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, Training and Equipment audits against defined timescales.
- Responsible and accountable for developing, documenting and maintaining the policies, procedures, methods and processes for materials management throughout the manufacturing process from; Incoming deliveries, Goods In, Warehouse, Picking, Kitting shop floor materials management and Despatch.
- Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement activities within the department and cross-functionally with the aim of improving safety, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Accountable for ensuring that the department have the appropriate resources, capacity and capability, to meet current and future demand.
- Responsible and accountable for maintaining data integrity and accuracy of inventory through data analysis and physical inventory counting (PPI). Organise and lead the annual stock audit.
- Responsible for the leadership, motivation and development of the Materials management team; and for managing performance through the setting of challenging objectives and targets.

The Person
- Able to create and maintain an environment that supports team-working, empowerment, accountability and personal development.
- ILM / Similar supervisory management qualification - desirable
- Health & Safety qualification - desirable
- Extensive, demonstrable work experience in Warehouse and Materials management - preferably in a manufacturing environment - essential
- Highly computer literate with previous experience with MRP / ERP systems and inventory management software. - essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
