Dementia Friendly Communities Coordinator

**About The Role**:
**Location**:community based in Kingston across multiple locations
This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of new and support existing, Dementia Friendly Communities across Kingston. Working closely with the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Connect Service in Kingston, to enable people with dementia to live the lives they want for as long as possible.
You will work collaboratively with teams across the Alzheimer’s Society, especially External Partnerships and Fundraising, to deliver on jointly agreed objectives. Networking and building relationships with services and organisations across Kingston will be a key part of the role.
**About you**
- You will be highly motivated and organised, working with people who are passionate about making a difference, including those living with dementia.
- You will have a good knowledge and understanding of the diverse cultures within Kingston.
- You will be able to proactively build relationships and networks, both internally and externally, through remote working as well as face to face.
- Knowledge and experience of engagement with health and social care providers as well as community groups and businesses will be an advantage.
- It is essential that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills to meet the diverse needs of our community.
- You will be empathetic and non-judgemental in your approach with a commitment to equal opportunity.
- You will understand the need for confidentiality
- This role requires that you are able to travel independently.
