Account Executive, Digital Advertising

Job Introduction
Our new Account Executive will aid with sales planning and supporting BBC Studios brand new social advertising proposition to deliver advertising revenues across the BBC Studios global portfolio.
You will support the Partner Sales (social advertising) team by managing responses to digital sales briefs, setting up campaigns and working with Ad Operations on campaign implementation, optimisation and technical troubleshooting. Working closely with Ad Operations, the Account Executive provides in-depth knowledge of internal technical processes and digital solutions and draws on this information to educate the Partner Sales team. Account Executives also have a technical and commercial perspective on new digital products and commercial opportunities.
This role will suit a self-starter who wants to play a key role in supporting the brand-new BBC Studios Partner Sales offering.
Main Responsibilities
**Managing Partner Sales Campaigns**
- Respond to advertising briefs from agencies/clients and work closely with the Partner Sales team to develop best in market proposals
- Provide information for proactive pitches.
- Present proposals and media plans to clients/agencies.
- Review social advertising inventory availability
- Develop a reputation as a trusted advisor within the sales organisation by providing insights on new social advertising products and commercial opportunities.
- Play a key role in delivering against quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Ensure all advertising campaigns adhere to BBC Studios Advertising Guidelines
- Work with the Ad Ops and Planning teams in successful delivery and measurement of all campaigns
- Contribute to the Social Advertising commercial strategy across BBC Group
**Launching and Implementing Campaigns**
- Work closely with Ad Operations to set up and launch campaigns on time and in line with client expectations.
- Review revenue and inventory data to check that placements are delivering to expectations.
- Follow up with clients/agencies and internal departments to gain feedback on campaigns and address any potential issues or concerns.
- Check that campaigns have delivered in line with insertion orders and that revenue is recognised appropriately.
- Provide regular performance reports for agencies and the sales team detailing click-through, impression levels, on schedule indicators, etc.
**Technical Troubleshooting and Campaign Optimization**
- With Ad Operations, conduct technical troubleshooting and resolve any issues identified.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimise campaigns to increase effectiveness and audience reach.
**Client/Agency Engagement**
- Establish relationships with key contacts in clients/agencies to facilitate the smooth implementation of campaigns.
- Liaise with agencies to promote the BBC digital proposition and educate them on digital products and opportunities.
**Decision making**
- This role will play a key role in supporting the new BBC Studios social advertising offering
**Scope**
- They will work in the Global News Sales Team, reporting into the DCE, in selling BBC Studios Social advertising / partner sales
**Strategic impact/Influence**
- Support the partner sales commercial strategy as directed by the Group Head of Digital Advertising
**Reporting structure**
- Reports to Account Director, Digital Advertising
- A keen interest in social advertising particularly on YouTube
- Knowledge of the social advertising market
- IT literate - knowledge of Google Ad Manager desirable
- Possess a strong understanding of social platforms and BBC competitors
- Media Industry and platforms - social in particular.
- Digital products and solutions.
- Online ad-serving/campaign management.
- Inventory management.
- Data management and manipulation.
- Troubleshooting tools and techniques.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to build rapport and credible, trusted and strong working relationships.
