Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world.

Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains, we are currently seeking an experienced Product Owner HSBC Technology.

Overview

We are on a journey with the ServiceNow Platform within the HSBC CTO Organisation, and as part of this journey we are establishing a ServiceNow Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the CTO Instance of ServiceNow. ServiceNow is or strategic platform for our core IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, as well as supporting other technology functions such as Knowledge Management, Request Management and Event Management. The platform continues to grow, and will evolve further from this baseline over the coming years.

Role Responsibilities

The team follows agile ways of working, and this role will be working as the Product Owner for the base ServiceNow platform - working alongside Product Owners for other capabilities such as Cyber, Identity & Access Management, IT Service Management and IT Operations Management.

Key Accountabilities:

- Own the overall roadmap for the platform, working in conjunction with partner Product Owners
- Act as single point of contact for the Base Platform Pod - working with the demand lead for the platform.
- Drive Automation for the end to end customer journey and reduce toil
- Engage with key stakeholders - helping engage them with the platform journey, being an advocate for the platform, and helping drive and support operational change within their area(s)
- Managing conflict between stakeholders and with the platform pod (including delivering in line with Senior Stakeholders’ expectations)
- Be a full and active partner with the team based across multiple geographies to ensure seamless IT delivery
- Engage with Agile ways of working within the core platform pod
- Demonstrate an ability to challenge existing processes
- Facilitate the approval of end-to-end solution designs for customer journeys.
- Owning the overall User Experience for the platform, including analysing feedback data to drive enhancements.

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Good experience working on program manager initiatives in complex matrix organizations,
- Experience in delivering IT or change programmes
- Be able to demonstrate strong business knowledge and sound business sense - including the controls environment
- Demonstrate effectiveness in technology design principles, with a particular focus on User Experience.
- Some knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform technology is desirable
- Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills - including experience in navigating through different stakeholder requirements / design sessions
